2020-07-05: Letter grades have been submitted. Enjoy your summer break.
2020-06-30: Your final exam papers have been graded. You are welcome to set up an appointment with me to review your graded paper and request corrections. (I advise you to do so.) Please finish the review process no later than 18:00 July 2nd, 2020. After this time, your final scores and final grades will not be changed for any reason.
2020-06-30: The last day of class for this course has been extended to July the 2nd, 00:00. All attendance claims and homeworks are due by this time. Whatever the reason is late homework/attendance claims will not be accepted after this time.
2020-06-11: The make-up class for the Children's day will take place on Tuesday, June 30th 19:00 at E1-1 Room 136. Accordingly, we change The last day of class for this course to June 30th 23:59. All attendance claims and homeworks are due by this time.

2020-05-19: For this week's lectures you will be provided recorded videos posted on Youtube. The platform will be CBNU e-Campus (Blackboard) wherein you will be able to find Youtube video links. By Today 19:00, you will be provided video recordings of lectures for the first 3 contact hours. You will have to write an email as instructed via email with an answer key (provided in the video) for each contact hour. Please check your email for relevant policies.

2020-03-24: In case we still do not meet in classroom by the due date of any homework, you do not have to come to school for only to hand-in your homework. Exam Schedules

The final exam will be a take-home exam and will cover the entire material we cover until June 23rd. Please read Final exam policies. The take-home exam will be distributed in-class at the end of the class on June 23rd. It will also be posted here after that.

The average was 72.5, standard deviation 6.46, and the maximum score achieved by a student 75.

Term-paper presentation

Your term paper will be collected and you will be giving a presentation about your term paper. The presentation will take place on June 30th, 2020 19:00 at E1-1 Room 136 (the classroom we meet). You will be given 20 minutes to give a free-form presentation. The deadline for your term paper is also June 30th, 2020 19:00 and will be collected when your final exam is collected.

Term-paper policies: (1) Your term-paper must have a title An implementation of F. Klein's "Erlanger Programm" in secondary school mathematics curricula. That said, you do not have a freedom to choose the title. Of course your term-paper must have a contents that you can use the given title. There is no page limit or a format. You hand-in a paper that shows the depth and the width of your intellectual capacity. (2) You may use internet, books, and/or other resources. However, you must clarify the source in a distinguishable form. Failure in meeting this condition is called a plagiarism which is equivalent to a cheating in exam.

Updates and plan for Assignment-based Class due to new Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak

Following the decision of the university center, the first day of class has been deferred to March 16th. Also following another decision of the university, we shall not meet during the period March 16th to 28th and make-up those 6-contact hours by an "Assignment-based Class." See the course syllabus for details. Please stay tuned for any further updates which will be posted on the course webpage.

Update as of 2020-03-24: The university center has decided not to meet in classroom for an extra week. Accordingly, we shall not meet during the period March 29th to April 4th and continue our "Assignment-based Class" to make up additional 3 contact hours. In addition, there will be skype meetings on Thursdays March 26th and April 2nd at 19:00--20:00. Please check your email for a web link to the skype chatroom for this class.

Update as of 2020-03-30: The university center has decided not to meet in classroom for an extra week. Accordingly, we shall not meet during the period April 5th to April 11th and continue our "Assignment-based Class" to make up additional 3 contact hours. In addition, there will be skype meetings on Tuesdays March 31st (April 2nd 19:00--20:00 meeting rescheduled) and April 7th at 19:00--20:00. Please check your email for a web link to the skype chatroom for this class.

Update as of 2020-04-02: The university center has decided not to meet in classroom until April 25th. Accordingly, we shall not meet during the period April 12th to April 25th and continue our "Assignment-based Class" to make up additional 6 contact hours. In addition, skype meetings will be held on Tuesdays April 14th at 19:00--20:00 and April 21st at 19:00--20:00.

Update as of 2020-04-09: Following the unanimous opinion, we will meet in class starting April 14th at 19:00. Please note that you must wash your hands upon entering the building E1-1 and wear a KF-94 or KF-80 mask in all times.
